Alex Cameron
Alex Cameron
"Its 2016, and its time for Alex Cameron. Entertainer. Showman. Shaman. Side by side with his business partner and saxophonist, Roy Molloy, the duo are a living and breathing story of success told through the internet; unedited, unscripted, and, up until now, to a dedicated audience of no one. Thanks to the good people at Secretly Canadian that is about to change.
Described by Clash magazine as Sydneys most literate song writer, Cameron knows what he is doing, so much so that Jonathan Rado of the hit group Foxygen described the first Cameron performance he saw as one of the most memorable, moving concerts I have or will ever witness. And music icon Henry Rollins described Cameron as being right out of a David Lynch hell dream!"

"Now is the time to tune in. No hype, no horseshit. Just a hot car, a hot track, and all charges dropped. The video for Shes Mine was made by Mr. Jim Pillion. He's very good at what he does, generally very highly paid. Unfortunately for Jim, Alex dug up some dirt on him that he couldn't afford to have go public, so when we told Jim he should make a clip for us pro bono he got what we meant. Regardless of the circumstances, he did an incredible job. Really impressive stuff, so we kept what we knew in the dark. Gotta break a couple bones sometimes in this game."

RIPS
RIPS
Brooklyn band Rips have been making a name for themselves over the last couple years, drawing influence from late ’70s NYC bands like Television, The Feelies, and Student Teachers. The band is putting the finishing touches on their debut album which was produced by Parquet Courts’ Austin Brown. Expect their debut LP in the spring.
Katie Von Schleicher
Katie Von Schleicher
Released on cassette last year, Katie Von Schleicher’s Bleaksploitation took the tape world by enough of a storm to thunder demand for more formats. "Bleaksploitation is earnest pop for the wonderfully doomed generation," says DIY Magazine; Stereogum calls the debut "stellar" and "invigoratingly terrifying"; Consequence of Sound described her songs as “like ghosts trying to communicate through a cassette deck”; Paste claims they “sound like a vintage girl group playing in the basement of a haunted house.”

Stay tuned for her follow up this summer via Ba Da Bing Records.
Cones
Cones
Originally from the Bay Area and living in LA, the Rosen brothers (aka Cones) have been playing music together for years and just completed their debut EP Whatever You're Into. Most recently, they toured as Eleanor Friedberger's backing band across North America. Jonathan is an animator who has done videos for Toro y Moi, Delicate Steve, Eleanor Friedberger and more! His brother Michael is a commercial/film composer and experiential sound artist.
